Toshiba WT310 Windows 8 launches tablet for business users

Toshiba has announced a new tablet that is designed for business users. The Toshiba WT310 is a standalone Windows 8 tablet with a 11.6 inch display, a Full HD resolution and an active digitizer stylus for taking notes.

The WT310 tablet includes an Intel Core i5-3339Y processor with a clock speed of 1.5GHz. This chip can overclock itself up to 2GHz. Furthermore, the tablet on an IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 pixels, a 128GB SSD storage memory, 4GB of RAM, two cameras, an HDMI port, an SD card reader, a USB 3.0 port and a 3460 mAh Toshiba battery. Also, the tablet equipped with Wifi with Intel WiDi support, Bluetooth 4.0 and optional 3G/4G mobile internet via modem. The tablet comes with a digitizer pen to create handwritten notes and operate the tablet. In terms of software, the device is equipped with Windows 8 Pro but there is also a 'consumer' version of Windows 8.
For the business user, Toshiba has also added a number of applications in terms of software, including the Trusted Platform Module, Intel's Active Management Technology, Toshiba Eco Utility software and anti-theft software. The tablet has a steel gray metallic "finish, a weight of 825 grams and dimensions of 229 x 189 x 12.4 millimeters. Toshiba also comes with a number of accessories for the tablet, including a dock (cradle) which can be the whole.
Availability

The Toshiba WT310 Windows 8 Pro is expected to be available from the end of May 2013, at a price starting at 899 euros excluding VAT. The price of the Windows 8 version with and without the business features is not yet known.
