How is Lenovo G560 notebook

Important than nitpicking the processor benchmarks: The test system performance with PCMark Vantage. This test checks all the components from the processor to the memory and the hard disk. 4,266 points can win the Lenovo G560. This is a comparatively weak (vs. Core i5), but a typical value for a notebook without a dedicated graphics solution. The Asus K72JK-TY001V with the same processor and Radeon HD 5145 managed 5,296 points. Core i3-330M systems with a midrange graphics (Toshiba Qosmio F60, Nvidia GT 330M) to reach 4,552 points.

A look at Core 2 Duo cars of the past makes it clear: The i3-350M is on a high level and is worth the small extra cost compared to Core 2 Duo. The Lenovo G560 is faster than a Sony Vaio VGN-FW51MF (4096) or an Acer Aspire 5935G (3882) with the former high-end Core 2 Duo processor T9550 (2.66 GHz).

That an entry-level processor provides more than a premium model of mid-2009, which is on the collection of hyper-threading in the Core i3. In individual cases, a high-clocked Core 2 Duo will be better than the 350M, but it PCMark Vantage puts no great weight. 3 hours battery life Lenovo Idea G560 battery helps power the notebook.

The IGP graphics Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD (Intel HD) is integrated on the processor package. It is faster than its predecessor 4500MHD. We measure 1,306 points in 3DMark2006 (1280x1024). This corresponds to about a GeForce 9400M aka ION). For current games but the performance is not enough. That would not be the purpose of the power-saving integrated graphics card. Your thing is the relief of the CPU in HD video decoding (MPEG2, H264, WMV9, VC1).
The Western Digital hard drive (WD5000BEVT type) with a gross capacity of 500 GB shines with an average transfer rate of 63 MB / s (sequential read). Current notebook hard drives, also with 5,400 rpm, typically reach 60 to 70 MB / s The Western Digital HDD is therefore exceptionally fast. The HDD can be heard only by a faint noise in operation.
